Independence High School senior awards night, was Tuesday, May 23 in the mall area. Seniors came dressed up in their cap and gowns to be well presented in front of the audience.
Senior awards night, was to recognize seniors who got academic scholarships from their college they got accepted to. Awards night was set up with a stage the seniors walked across when they receive their awards, and shake Mr. Legrand’s hand. They had chairs set up in the audience for friends and family to celebrate the seniors’ accomplishments.
“Awards night was amazing , being recognize felt so good” says Xavier Ramsey. “ It felt unreal. When I was in my cap and gown, I felt like I made it.” Xavier says that being recognized at awards night made him feel accomplished.
Congratulations to all Seniors who got an award last night. Keep pushing to the end!
