As the weather warms up and school lets out for summer break, students may be looking for different ways to pass time in the city. Food trucks are a great way to hang out with friends and family over break.

Charlotte is home to many great trucks, here are three great ones you should check out:

The Prosperity Village food truck rally hosted a variety of food trucks that everyone can enjoy.

Bobeche Grill Tropical Cuisine

Bobeche Grill is a family owned food truck serving the Charlotte area. If you are in the mood to eat Caribbean inspired dishes Bobeche is your best bet.

  • What to try: Spicy BBQ with a side of fried plantains ($10) or Macaroni Gratinee with a side of BBQ chicken ($10)
  • Price Range: $5  – $12

Bobeche is owned by the family of Independence junior, Ashley Lominy.

“I really enjoy serving food to our customers and seeing the look on their faces when they take a bite,” says Ashley Lominy.

Make sure you visit this food truck to help out a member of our Patriot community.

The Hiya challenge gives brave contestants the chance to prove they can handle the heat.
