Eating habits are important to stay healthy. Students who are into working out and staying fit should maintain their eating habits. Research information on tips to eating healthy or even set a meal plan.

More than two-thirds of adults are considered to be overweight or obese. More than one-third of adults are considered to be obese. This is extremely unhealthy and can cause major problems. Becoming obese can cause a person to be tired more often and have no motivation or energy to do certain things.

“To stay healthy, 30% is working out and 70% is what you eat. You can’t go to the gym and workout and come home and constantly eat junk food. Nothing will improve,” former Independence student, Jeff Hilton, says. He goes to the gym every day and makes meal plans to keep up with his eating habits. He limits himself from eating junk food.

Students who want to develop healthy eating habits should consume a variety of foods, keep an eye on portions, eat plenty of produce, eat more whole grains, limit refined grains and sugar, and cut down on animal fat.
