The IHS Open House, Wednesday August 19, was a night of fresh faces. Incoming freshmen and their families explored the hallways of Indy looking for the classrooms they will be spending a good amount of time in for the next 2 semesters, and next 4 years.
“The classrooms are out of order,” one parent said, “I’m glad we came tonight so we could find them now.” Many families needed direction finding their mix-matched rooms, but by the time the doors locked, everyone had met their teachers for the year.
The incoming 9th graders were not the only fresh faces at this year’s open house, however. This year Indy is welcoming over 20 new staff including teachers, coaches and administrators.
With all of the new things going on, this year is sure to be an exciting one. Monday is going to be the start of something great.
